The Colorado Division of Insurance (DOI) is inviting stakeholders to a newly formed workgroup to advise in the evaluation of the State’s benchmark health insurance plan and any changes that should be made to it for the 2023 plan year. The benchmark plan is the plan used to set minimum standards for essential health benefits (EHBs) within the state for individual and small group plans. Colorado last updated its benchmark plan in 2015 for the 2017 plan year.
The workgroup will have three meetings on the following dates and times.
- Friday, January 8th 1pm - 3pm
- Wednesday, January 27th 1pm - 3pm
- Thursday, February 25th 1pm - 3pm
During the public health emergency, these meetings will be held virtually. The workgroup is open to all, though we ask interested parties to commit to attending all three meetings to ensure consistency and accurate information flow.
If you are interested in participating in the workgroup please email the following information to Kate Harris (kate.harris@state.co.us) no later than January 4th, 2021, using the subject line "Benchmark Plan Workgroup."
