You’re Invited: Unfair Discrimination in Insurance Practices - Private Passenger Auto Insurance Stakeholder Meeting

The Division will be hosting a stakeholder meeting regarding Unfair Discrimination in Insurance Practices, focusing on underwriting practices in private passenger auto insurance, on November 2, 2023, from 10:00 - 11:00 am MT. In 2021, Governor Polis signed Senate Bill 21-169 (SB 21-169) into law, which protects Colorado consumers from insurance practices that result in unfair discrimination on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, gender identify, or gender expression, into law. The law directs the Insurance Commissioner to hold stakeholder meetings prior to the adoption of any rules.

At this meeting, the Division will discuss governance and risk management framework requirements related to private passenger auto insurance. Stakeholders can register for the November 2 meeting by clicking on the following button:
