Before you schedule an appointment or file a complaint...

In many situations, the Division of Insurance Consumer Services Team staff can help you over the telephone or via email before scheduling an appointment or filing a formal complaint. They can answer your questions, discuss the nature of your issue and advise you on what kind of documentation may be required. 

If you would like to speak to one of our staff, please call 303-894-7490 and choose Option 2 for life and health insurance issues, Option 3 for property, casualty or title insurance issues, or Option 4 for insurance agent/producer licensing questions. You can also email us at DORA_Insurance@state.co.us.  

If you would like to move forward with filing a formal complaint with the Division of Insurance, or your issue requires you to file a formal complaint before meeting with Division staff, please start on our "File a Complaint" website, where you can access the Consumer Portal for complaints.
