Nearly 225,000 Coloradans depend on federal enhanced premium tax credits (ePTCs) to afford health coverage in the individual health insurance market. EPTCs are currently scheduled to expire December 31 this year. If the tax credits are allowed to expire, average premium increases will exceed 170% for marketplace customers in Colorado, with people in some rural counties facing increases of more than 300%.
