Court finds that the reporting law does not delve into sharing plans’ purposes, goals, and objectives.
DENVER - The United States District Court for the District of Colorado has denied a motion by the Alliance of Health-Care Sharing Ministries for a preliminary injunction in its lawsuit against Colorado Insurance Commissioner Michael Conway. The court found “The Reporting Law does not delve into sharing plans’ purposes, goals, and objectives—it simply seeks data germane to documented consumer protection concerns.” The court also stated that the Alliance did not make “.... a showing—strong or otherwise—that it is likely to succeed on the merits of any of its claims.”
