The Division is seeking comments on the following draft proposed amended regulation:
The purpose of this regulation is to establish the process and timeline by which the Division of Insurance will notify carriers and disburse reinsurance payments to carriers for the applicable benefit year.
This regulation is being amended to clarify the Division will only use claims data submitted to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) External Data Gathering Environment (EDGE) database for reinsurance payment calculations, and to add a requirement that carriers report claims completion estimates to the Division for reinsurance-eligible claims in EDGE.
The Division is requesting informal comments be submitted to DORA_INS_RulesandRecords@state.co.us no later than 5 PM, August 31, 2021.
